toaster oven
Many have mentioned toaster ovens. Is this another appliance that would take up counter space? How does it enrich your gfcf mealtime? (-; Thanks for the waffle recipe, Cheri. I will try them right now! Janelle

* Janelle, I have a black and decker toaster oven and love it. It is suspended from the bottom of my cabinet with a heat proof hanging hood that black and decker sells, therefore it takes no counter space - so bye bye regular toaster forever.- Besides toast it is great for making grilled cheese without having to grill it and I use it ALL summer long instead of heating up my kitchen by turning the oven on. I make my meatloaves and everything in it. They have ones that broil too, which I had for over 15 years but its too hard to keep clean so I stick with just the toaster/oven. The only drawback of it is that all the toaster oven pans I come across are aluminum and I am trying to get away from aluminum. I am going to try this stainless stell warehouse on the island here to see if they sell small pans for toaster ovens. Have you tried using the small (one-egg size) cast iron skillets in the toaster oven?
