Yes powdered & confectionary sugar are the same also 10X sugar. Cornstarch is a common additive in most reg store powdered sugar. If you have a good blender or grain mill, sometimes you can grind regular granulated sugar finer, another good source is candy and baking hobby store. Angela

    I would start by cutting back the sugar in the recipes gradually and of course simply offering less sweets at all make it a monthly treat not daily. Stevia is best used in drinks or fruit ices, cooking with it is tricky. Glycerine can be used instead of sugar or honey, reduce the amount by 1/4 or so, and it can alter taste and consistancy. Try using the minimum amounts and add spices or flavoring to mask any unusual taste. Angela
