Regarding gelatin/jello
[INLINE] Has anyone tried the "jello" by Hain Pure Foods?? It is called Superfruits. Comes in a box for 99 cents at my hfs and does appear to contain any gelatin. The second ingrediant is carrageenan (from seaweed) so I don't believe there is any form of gelatin in it. It says vegetarian on the box. Also there are no artificial colors. It does contain corn starch though for those who are corn sensitive. Wasn't sure if anyone else had tried this. Dawn Montiel Educational Consultant for Discovery Toys
I think kosher gelatin still contains the same ingredients, it is just certified to have not contacted dairy products. At least that was my understanding. Diane Hartman

It's not bad...it sort of reminds me of canned cranberry "sauce" from childhood. Don't know if kids used to jello would like it...mine did. LL
The "kosher" gelatin we get from the book mobile is certified not to have any pork products in it. Some gelatins are made using beef parts and others seaweed. I guess it depends and one has to check it carefully. BL ****************************** * v'col netivotcha shalom * ******************************
