easy crock pot roast anyone?

Does anyone have an EASY way to cook a beef or pork roast in the crock pot that is GFCF? I used to use cream mushroom soup, garlic, and lipton onion soup mix. I don't know any other way and am not able to make up recipes like some of you are. SIGH. PS EASY means fewer than 5 ingred. Preferably 3 or less. :-) Seriously. Janelle

Janelle, roasts are so easy. Trust me. Can you have canned foods? (I ask because I can't anymore). Here's my favourite recipe, and everyone loves it - one small tin of V-8 juice, one can of spiced diced tomatoes (they come in several flavours - experiment), and a sprinkling of beef base (powdered beef stuff that makes broth). Put the frozen (or not) roast in the CP, pour everything else overtop and let it cook until tender. The beef base is optional, sometimes I haven't added it. Sometimes I put a bay leaf on top. Or go really simple - look in your spice cabinet. Garlic, pepper, salt, onion, a bay leaf or two ... better yet, a whole onion and whole cloves of garlic (after they're mushy, puree them into the gravy!) Roasts don't need a lot of fussing, in my opinion. Don't be afraid to experiment - if your kids watch Magic School Bus, think of Miss Frizzle "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy." I just put the roast in the crock pot and add about an inch of water & salt & pepper it. That way we can use it for sandwiches. My favorite left over food is left over roast beast (as we call it here) cut up in little chunks, put on top of the stove and add a Walmart brand taco mix Packet (gfcf) and cook down until most of the liquid is about gone. Then we put this in corn tortillas. yum yum. It is better with "real" cheese, but Mommy and Daddy are adjusting. My 2 yr olds love it! Julie
