There is Blue Diamond Vanilla Almond Breeze. You can also use Mocha Mix
nondairy creamer (in the dairy case) but it does not have calcium or
protein. There are also soy and rice drinks where you find the Almond
Breeze.

But watch the rice and soy milks for malts. For example, Image Rice Dream has barley malt in the rice syrup and is not considered safe for Celiacs.

there are soy and almond based ones, rice based ones (but check source since
one is processed with barley), and some use water or fruit juice instead.
Check your local health food store and infant section in grocery store.

Blue Diamond Almond Milk's are gluten and casein free. I made some
cashew milk today, I saw a recipe at a web site somewhere and decided to
try it. I used about 3/4 cup of raw cashews and 2 cups of water, ran
the blender until they were mixed. The next time I will use less water
at first to see if the cashew pieces are smaller. I added 2 tablespoons
of sugar, giving it approximately the same sugar content as milk. I
wouldn't drink it but I won't drink any of the plain or vanilla milk
substitutes. I used it instead of soy milk in a recipe tonight with
good success.

I never bought the pitcher for the DariFree. I just put in in my Vita Mix
which has a 2 hp motor and blend it. I do normally shake it before I pour
it since some settles on the bottom but it has never been lumpy the next
day. I have used both hot and cold water to mix. I don't even bother to
let it sit a day before I use it if I need it right then.

my health food store carries it now, but it is almost $10/carton. I need to
figure out the math to see if it is cheaper than the cost with shiipping from
other online sources.

heidi, If you haven't any takers yet, I would love the Dari free, we use it
in everything without any issues at all. Let me know if you still have it and
I will send you shipping info.
